- Case 1: Late Pregnancy, Pelvic Mechanics, and Functional Change
A healthcare professional at 34 weeks’ gestation presented with significant back discomfort and restricted pelvic movement. She had also been advised that fetal positioning remained suboptimal, increasing delivery complexity. Functional assessment revealed notable asymmetry in pelvic mechanics during gait and load transfer. Treatment focused on reducing soft-tissue restriction and improving pelvic mobility within comfort and safety limits. Stock image used for educational illustration only. This image does not depict an actual client, treatment session, or clinical outcome. Following treatment, functional movement patterns changed noticeably. With the client’s consent and professional familiarity, ultrasound imaging was used to observe fetal position, which appeared to adjust during the session. This case highlights how pelvic mechanics and movement capacity may influence internal space and load distribution , without making claims about obstetric outcomes. Clinical Practice: Heal Young Massage Evidence-based remedial massage and movement rehabilitation services.
